Can you flat tow a Nissan Frontier?

I’m heading out on vacation in my motorhome, and I want to bring along my Nissan Frontier for driving while the big guy is parked. Can I flat tow it?

Bringing along a smaller vehicle to drive around when you’re road-tripping in a motorhome is a great idea. You can flat tow some Nissan Frontiers:
  • Nissan Frontiers equipped with a manual transmission can be safely flat-towed
  • Nissan Frontiers with automatic transmissions cannot be flat towed without suffering significant drivetrain damage
Hopefully, you’ve got a manual transmission in your Frontier, so you can more easily bring your truck along. Even if you have to get a trailer, though, it sounds like you’re getting ready to put some serious miles on both your motorhome and your truck.
