Can you flat tow a Kia Sorento?
I’m going on a cross-country camping trip next month in my RV. To save gas and do some side trips, my husband and I want to take our Kia Sorento. We’ve just never towed anything before. Can I flat tow a Kia Sorento without damaging it?

Unfortunately, you cannot flat tow a Kia Sorento, regardless of the model year, drivetrain, or trim. Simply put, the Kia Sorento isn’t built for flat towing. Doing so can damage the drivetrain and the transmission and may also void your warranty.
However, you still have two other towing options. Both the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive Sorento can be towed on a flatbed trailer. In addition, the front-wheel-drive version can be towed with a two-wheel dolly, provided that the front two wheels are lifted off the ground. Consult your owner’s manual for more information on towing your Sorento.
