The most important criterion is viscosity. 5W-40 is what’s recommended by the manufacturers, but you may need to adjust this based on your driving habits and the climate where you drive.
So long as you select an oil that is intended for European vehicles—like oil from Valvoline or Mobil 1—with the proper viscosity rating, your car will run smoothly.
