No—only Honda Fits with manual transmission are manufacturer-approved to be safely flat towed, and only at speeds of 65 mph and below.
You can tow an automatic Honda Fit, but you must lift the driven axle (or axles) off the ground. Since the Honda Fit is front-wheel drive, a dolly—which lifts the front two wheels off of the ground—can be used for safe towing.
Before attempting to tow your vehicle, always thoroughly read your owner’s manual. It will contain detailed instructions regarding the equipment needed for safe towing, as well as any additional guidelines, such as restrictions on driving speed while towing.
You’ll also want to be sure that your Fit is protected by a robust
car insurance
policy before you hook it up to your RV for towing.
