How do I charge a Ford Escape Hybrid battery?

I hit a massive bird driving home last night and ended up with a massive crack in my windshield. How much would a Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring windshield replacement cost?

My car’s air conditioning has not worked for years–it’s pretty old. I finally decided to get it fixed, but the mechanic I took it to said that it was going to cost about $1,000. That seems a little ridiculous for an AC fix. He said that my car’s evaporator is broken and needs to be replaced. Does that sound like a normal price for replacing a car’s AC evaporator?

I’m shopping for a new car and I know I’ll need to buy gap insurance. I thought I could get it through my car insurance company but they don't offer it. Are there any insurers that offer gap insurance as a stand-alone option? I don't want to switch insurance companies.
