Can you flat tow a Chevy Trax?

No—the Chevy Trax is not equipped for flat towing (sometimes called four-down towing), even if you own the all-wheel drive version.
How to safely tow your Chevrolet Trax depends on its drivetrain:
- If you have a front-wheel drive Trax, you can tow using a dolly that keeps the front two wheels off the ground
- If you have an all-wheel drive Trax, you must tow it on a trailer with all four wheels off the ground
Before towing your Trax, you should carefully consult your owner’s manual. It will contain essential information regarding how to safely tow your vehicle—plus any restrictions like speed maximums.
