I have a Chevrolet Trax and I just purchased an RV. Can I tow my car behind it safely?

No—the Chevy Trax is not equipped for flat towing (sometimes called four-down towing), even if you own the all-wheel drive version.
How to safely tow your Chevrolet Trax depends on its drivetrain:
  • If you have a front-wheel drive Trax, you can tow using a dolly that keeps the front two wheels off the ground
  • If you have an all-wheel drive Trax, you must tow it on a trailer with all four wheels off the ground
Before towing your Trax, you should carefully consult your owner’s manual. It will contain essential information regarding how to safely tow your vehicle—plus any restrictions like speed maximums.
Flat towing a vehicle that isn’t meant for it will likely damage your transmission. And if your vehicle is under warranty, it could void multiple elements of your coverage.
Once you figure out the safest way to tow your Trax behind your motorhome, make sure that it’s covered with adequate
car insurance
protection before hitting the road.
