Can you flat tow a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer?
I’m in the market for a new SUV. After test-driving a few options, a used 2021 Chevy Trailblazer seems like a great fit. However, I want to tow it behind my RV without buying a ton of extra equipment. Will I be able to flat tow a 2021 Trailblazer?

You might be able to flat tow a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer—it depends on which drivetrain you have. If you have a Trailblazer with all-wheel drive (AWD), you’re good to go. But if you have a front-wheel-drive Trailblazer, you can only tow it with a flatbed trailer.
Hopefully, you have the AWD version of the Trailblazer, and you won’t have any issues. If that’s the case, follow these steps to successfully flat tow your SUV:
- Position the Trailblazer and secure it to the tow vehicle.
- Apply the parking brake.
- Put the vehicle into ACC mode by pressing the push-button start one time without the brake pedal depressed.
- Shift the car into neutral. You should hear a chime ring continuously for 30 seconds if done correctly.
- Leave the car in neutral and release the parking brake.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery terminal.
- Cover the negative battery post with a non-conductive material, such as a rag.
