Can you flat tow a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek?

My Subaru Crosstrek is a great car to go off-roading with due to its all-wheel drive. However, the best tracks are all fairly far away. I wanted to take my RV and tow my Crosstrek, but I’ve never done it before—is it possible to flat tow a 2018 Crosstrek?

Unfortunately, like many other all-wheel-drive vehicles, you cannot flat tow a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Many all-wheel-drive cars—including the Crosstrek—require a flatbed trailer to tow, as flat towing can severely damage the drivetrain, couplings, transmission, and many of the other powertrain components of the vehicle.
Keep in mind that a flatbed trailer is likely to cost somewhere between $1,000 and $3,000, so budget appropriately. Oftentimes, used options are the best way to go and can save you some major money.
Since you’re going to need a flatbed trailer to tow your Crosstrek, you may as well start saving money today by lowering your
