Can I get a car loan if I am 16?

I am 16 and need a car to get to school. The bus doesn't come to my house anymore. I can't afford it all, but I could afford to pay it off monthly. Can I get a car loan if I'm 16?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to get a car loan at age 16.
A minor cannot get a car loan, and in almost every state, you remain a minor until the age of 18. To get the car you need, consider:
  • Raising money and saving up to afford the car
  • Asking a parent or guardian to cosign or take out the loan for you
Once you do get a car, make sure it is insured before you start driving. Use insurance broker
