Can I add my son's girlfriend to my liability car insurance?

My son's girlfriend sometimes borrows our family car. Should I add her to our insurance policy even though she isn't technically family?

car insurance companies
 will let you add drivers who live outside your household to your policy if they use your vehicle on occasion. In fact, some companies may require you to add your son’s girlfriend to your policy.
You should contact your insurance company to ask who can be covered by your policy and how you can add your son’s girlfriend as a driver. Be aware that your rate may change once she’s included in your policy.”
