Can I add adaptive cruise control to my Volvo?

We just bought a new Volvo S60 but it doesn’t have adaptive cruise control—just regular cruise control. Can I add adaptive cruise control to my Volvo?

You can add adaptive cruise control to your Volvo as an option or as an aftermarket purchase, but it can cost anywhere from $2,100 to $3,000 to have adaptive cruise control installed.
Adaptive cruise control comes standard on the following models:
  • XC40
  • XC60
  • XC90
  • S90
  • V90
  • V90 Cross Country
You can add adaptive cruise control as an option as part of Volvo’s Advanced Package, which will cost anywhere from $2,100 to $2,500 to install. If you want to add adaptive cruise control after you’ve bought your Volvo, the cost will be higher, likely around $3,000 including parts and labor.
Why is adaptive cruise so expensive to add? It is a complex system of radar equipment, cameras, and lasers that work in tandem with your Volvo’s onboard computer. Such a system is ideally installed during production by Volvo to ensure it works seamlessly the moment it rolls off the production line.
Whether your model has adaptive cruise control or not, you’ll want to protect your Swedish ride with the best
