Your daughter must be thrilled! Yes, BMW’s extended warranty can be transferred.
All new BMWs come with a limited warranty good for four years or 50,000 miles. Customers may also purchase an extended warranty, prolonging coverage by an additional seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
To transfer your BMW’s extended warranty to a new owner, you must first contact your local BMW dealer. They’ll verify your warranty status and guide you through the forms you must complete to transfer the warranty. You may also need to pay a transfer fee, typically around $200.
