Are seat belts covered under the Toyota warranty?

Yes, the
Toyota
warranty generally does cover seat belts. Whether or not yours is still active will depend on how long you’ve had your car and how far you’ve driven.Toyotas come with what’s known as a Restraint System Warranty. This warranty covers defective seat belts and lasts for either 60,000 miles or five years, whichever threshold you reach first.
Of course, the restraint system isn’t the only thing included in Toyota’s warranty. You should also have:
- A basic warranty that lasts three years or 36,000 miles
- A powertrain warranty that lasts five years or 60,000 miles
- Corrosion perforation warranty that lasts five years
Keep in mind that each of these warranty types only applies to defective parts or corrosion that is not caused by the owner. If you get into an accident or damage the parts yourself, your warranty won’t cover them.
