I just got a new Ford, and it’s already leaking oil! I feel like Ford should cover it. Are oil leaks covered by the powertrain warranty?

Your feelings are correct! In most cases, oil leaks are covered under the Ford powertrain warranty. Since your Ford is new, it should still be well within the five-year period covered by this part of your warranty.

  • Oil leak is due to wear and tear
  • Oil leak is a result of aftermarket modifications
Remember, your warranty will only come into play if your Ford’s damages are caused by manufacturer error. To cover the gaps in your warranty and reduce your
