Houses aren’t cheap, and if you want to live in a big city, you might have to settle for an affordable apartment. Here’s another potential living option for you.
Living Vehicle, a
luxury
trailer company based in
California
, is offering a state-of-the-art camper that’s nicer than most houses. It also might be more affordable than a house. But, of course, you’ll have to consider whether you’d like to live out of a motorhome.

How much does the camper cost?

There may be an alternative living option for people interested in campers.
According to
Living Vehicle
, the all-inclusive 2022 Living Vehicle Pro-EV starts at $429,995. This variant has the most features, but Living Vehicle offers three other configurations: Core, Max, and Pro. The base model starts at $249,995.
You can order the Pro-EV now, and it will take 10 to 12 months to build.
The company focuses on technology and innovation and incorporates high-quality materials and sustainability in its camper. The camper runs on solar power and can charge your electric vehicle with an integrated Level 2 fast charger.

The camper is made from over 95% aluminum with a GVWR or vehicle weight of 18,000 pounds. It also has 228 cubic feet of storage space. If you want to take your
motorhome
on adventures, you can opt for the Off-Road Capability package for things like all-terrain tires and upgraded torsion axles.
The living area has a sofa and lounge that converts into a queen bed, a hardwood dining table, sliding glass patio doors, and a media center. The camper also features a kitchen with a three-burner stainless stove and lots of cabinet storage.

Other technology available in the camper

Technology is emphasized with the Pro-EV. The camper is powered by an "LV Energy System," that has 58 kWh of storage capacity. When the sun’s not out, the camper uses a Cummins Onan QG generator, powered by a propane storage system, to recharge.
You can add upgrades including a private theater with a 70-inch pull-down screen, an improved Sonos sound system, and extended Wi-Fi connectivity.
The air conditioning is also solar-powered, and the camper features three-zone heating for the bedroom, living space, and bathroom. This can be controlled by a digital thermostat.

Should you live out of your car?

Living out of an RV or motorhome isn’t something that’s right for everyone.
A mobile home lets you explore and offers the financial freedom of not having to pay rent or utilities. On the flip side, since you’ll be sacrificing space for mobility, you won’t be able to store as many items as you could in a house. If you have a bigger family, the space may feel cramped.
There are guidelines around where and for how long you can park in an area as well. You’ll want to consider these factors before you ditch your belongings and move into a camper.
However, you can always just use a fancy camper like the Pro-EV as a road-trip option. Just make sure you have the right insurance to
keep your camper protected
