Nismo stands for Nissan Motorsports and they essentially take the best Nissans and transform them to have the best performance.Nissan is planning to bring new models into the U.S. Racing enthusiasts should expect more exciting news as the Japanese automaker releases more details about which vehicles are on the way.

, Nismo will be looking to bring in vehicles from the pickup and crossover segments. 
Which Nismo vehicles might be coming to the U.S.?
Takao Katagiri, Nismo’s global CEO, said that "When we look at the U.S. market and what our competitors are doing there, I think there is a possibility in the crossover and truck segments going forward."
Based on Katagiri’s comments, Motor1 reported that consumers can expect a Nismo version of the Frontier as well as models like the Rogue and Kicks. You might also see a revamped Armada—a U.S. version of the Nissan Patrol Nismo.
Nismo hasn’t confirmed any specific vehicles yet, but electric Nismo models like the Nissan LEAF and Ariya will likely be offered in upcoming years.

Why is Nissan bringing in more Nismo models?

, since its debut in 1990, the Skyline GT-R won all 29 races in the Group A championship series that ended in 1993.Katagiri said that Nismo’s lineup is focused on the brand’s home market in Japan. However, Nismo products and their emphasis on performance are appealing to American car buyers.

According to Motor1, the only vehicles available currently are the Nissan GT-R Nismo and 370Z Nismo. The 370Z Nismo was sold out following the release of the new Nissan Z.
The 2022 Nissan GT-R gets up to 600 horsepower, as reported by

. Its powerful performance and firm handling earned it a nickname: Godzilla.All-wheel drive is standard on the GT-R and it offers thrilling acceleration, but the interior doesn’t hold up to its price. Rivals that cost around the same price can offer even more performance. The base model comes with a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
