background
Off-roading is a popular activity for many people. Off-road cars have a certain look to them so when you see one, you can often tell it’s capable of being used off-road. If you're into off-roading, check the specs of the vehicle before buying them. Especially if you are considering the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT.

Santa Fe XRT is a good example of buyer beware when it comes to off-road vehicles. Hyundai has given Santa Fe's exterior the look of an off-road vehicle with this trim package.
But if you look at the list of the car's features, you'll see that it may not be more off-road capable than your average car. That is something to look out for at the price you have to pay for the Santa Fe XRT.
Hyundai’s 2022 Santa Fe XRT is a rugged offering, without off-road capabilities.

Motor Trend
calls the new Santa Fe XRT "one tough-lookin' Hyundai." The publication goes into detail about the "appearance trim" you can opt for on the midsize SUV. If you go for the XRT, you'll get black-painted 18-in. wheels that are specific to the trim. You'll also get extra black plastic body cladding.
The off-roading look continues with front and rear skid plates, side steps, and a matte-black grille. It is just a cosmetic package, though, and Hyundai isn't claiming that it is more than that.

Car and Driver
takes a look at the features of the Santa Fe XRT. You only get one engine option with the trim, and it's a 2.5-liter straight-four with 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft torque. You need to opt for the upper-level trims if you want the turbo engine, and the hybrid powertrain can't be paired with the XRT.
HyundaiUSA.com
tells us you get an 8-in. color touchscreen with AM/FM audio system on the XRT, and the car is compatible with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.
Other tech features include a 12.3-in. digital instrument cluster and smart cruise control. The XRT has a full suite of safety features, including an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control with brake assist, and a rearview monitor with parking guidance.

If you pick the XRT trim on the Santa Fe, think twice before off-roading. One clue that makes that obvious is the fact that it comes with front-wheel drive as standard–if you want all-wheel drive it'll cost you an extra $1,700.
The cosmetic package falls just above the SEL in the Santa Fe lineup, and is essentially that convenience package, with the added visual enhancements to give it the off-road look. Getting this look will cost you, as the XRT starts at $32,300. If you want to go with the all-wheel drive, you'll be spending at least $34,000.
Going off-roading is more dangerous than traditional driving, even when you're using a vehicle built to go off-road. Having good insurance is even more essential when off-roading than when you're not. Whether you go for the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT or another model, make sure you are covered.
You need to have the best coverage you can get. And if you don't want to spend too much to get it, look no further than
