explains in its review of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler, the iconic SUV dates back to World War II. Since then, there have been continual improvements to the Wrangler that have kept it both relevant and in-demand. However, the review also points out a few negative aspects of the Wrangler that Jeep has yet to address.
Features of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler
Available as a two-door or four-door, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler comes with a soft fabric top that can be removed. A hardtop version is also available.
As standard, the Wrangler comes with a V6 gasoline engine and 6-speed manual transmission, but several powertrains are also available.
New for 2021 are the V8-powered Wrangler Rubicon 392 and Wrangler 4XE plug-in hybrid (PHEV). A turbocharged 4-cylinder, V6 with mild-hybrid assist, and a turbo-diesel are the other choices.
This Jeep packs 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque under its hood. With its all-wheel drive, it can run through 0-60-mph in just 4.5 seconds and the quarter-mile in 13 seconds flat.
Another new addition to the Jeep Wrangler is the TrailCam front camera for models with an 8.4-inch display. The Off-Road Plus adjusts throttle, transmission, and traction settings, and is standard on Rubicon models.
All V6 models with automatic transmission get the eTorque system. There are two USB charge ports available, and a Select Tire Fill Alert is standard on models with a 7- or 8.4-inch touchscreen. The latest Uconnect touchscreen infotainment systems are said to be some of the most user-friendly in the industry.

The Jeep Wrangler isn’t without flaws
While Autotrader says the Wrangler’s ride quality and visibility are better than before, its solid front axle suspension still yields "a weird sawing response." And while all Wranglers offer great off-road capability, it’s at the expense of day-to-day driveability.
Since the 2021 Wrangler is a true off-roader, it prioritizes treading challenging terrain over polished highway manners. Being the only SUV sold in the U.S. that uses both front and solid rear axles means the Wrangler can really tackle tough terrain, but basic commuting is less than comfortable. However, as Autotrader points out, many drivers think this compromise is worth it.
Another negative feature of the Wrangler is that its removable roof and doors cause a fair amount of road and wind noise. But for most people, one of the reasons for buying a jeep is to be able to remove the roof and doors, so this is unlikely to be a deal-breaker.
