lists the available styles as a two-door Hatchback, two-door Coupe, R/T Turbo two-door Coupe AWD, and R/T two-door Coupe. There are also two submodels, called the Stealth R/T Turbo and the Stealth Coupe.

They come with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed manual transmission. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available, and you can get a chrome 18-inch Pirelli P-Zero tire and wheel package with it.

The base model can get an Infinity sound system, and it keeps the fixed headlights that the model used from 1994.

Stealth's parent company and Mitsubishi worked together on many cars starting in the 1970s. In fact, the two companies created Diamond-Star Motors and a factory in Illinois in 1985.

They started making cars such as the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, and Plymouth Laser.

Diamond Star Motors made the Mitsubishi Starion and Chrysler Conquest too. The Starion topped their collaboration's model range, but they wanted to replace it at the end of the 1980s.

Eventually, Mitsubishi decided to bring out the GTO platform. In the United States, it was called the 3000GT. The R/T Twin Turbo V-six engine that they used was cutting-edge engineering for the 1990s.

The Chrysler version of the 3000GT was the Dodge Stealth. They built it in Japan instead of in the Illinois factory, and it updated its bumpers and headlights when the 3000GT updated theirs.

The Stealth Dodge did not sell as well as the 3000GT, and Chrysler discontinued the model after 1996. The Viper replaced it, and it is becoming increasingly rare.

Luxury SUVs have become fun cars to own since the 1990s, and the number of sports car models has been dwindling. However, the Dodge Stealth puts those luxury SUVs to shame with its ability to accelerate from zero to 60 in five seconds. It can also do the quarter-mile in under 14 seconds, and the R/T Stealth with AWD does well in inclement weather.

It excels at driving short straights, impressing Car and Driver with the way it took switchbacks on a track when they tested it. So it is still fun to drive and is worth $10,600 when it is in really good condition.

Even in fairly good condition, it costs only $5000 to $7700. It costs less than the virtually identical 3000GT, and it is rarer. People are snapping up the last available 1996 Dodge Stealths, so you may want to consider them if you are looking for a sporty classic for a decent price.
