10. The Gyrosphere

Seen in: Jurassic World (2015)
Okay, okay, so you can’t actually buy this one in real life, because it isn’t actually real, but that’s not going to stop us from including this iconic tour vehicle from 2015’s Jurassic World, arguably the best of the reboot films.
In the film, the Gyrosphere features a spherical enclosure of ultra-durable glass to protect passengers from passing dinos, and while its hovering cockpit surrounded by the spinning sphere is an intriguing way to get around the jungles of Isla Nublar, it can actually only get to a max speed of 5 mph

9. Rolls-Royce Phantom VII

Seen in: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
While you may not have noticed it in 2018’s most recent installment of the franchise—Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom—the Rolls-Royce Phantom VII is by far the most luxurious and expensive vehicle to appear in this or any of the previous Jurassic films.
The Phantom is the vehicle of choice for the wealthiest of the wealthy, moguls, celebrities, and supervillains. While a base model will run you about $460,000, Rolls-Royce is known for offering a wide range of off-menu modifications—for the right price. Who knows what sorts of spy-movie-level gadgets are hiding in the Phantom VII parked outside the villains’ mansion in Fallen Kingdom!

8. Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ATV

Seen in: Jurassic World (2015)
When the heroes of Isla Nublar just can’t squeeze through the dense jungles with a truck or a jeep, they opt for Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ATVs. These things are the height of power, luxury, and fun for any lover of 4x4 or motocross racing. And let’s be honest, Chris Pratt looks fantastic riding one.

7. 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

Seen in: Jurassic Park (1990) novel by Michael Crichton and Jurassic Park III (2001) movie
The 1978
Toyota Land Cruiser
FJ40 is a particularly special vehicle on this list because these were the vehicles that were used in the original Jurassic Park novel as tour vehicles.
However, you’re going to need to look extra carefully if you’re going to find this little Easter egg in the movies—it’s only visible in the background of a scenery shot from 2001’s Jurassic Park III. Do you think you can spot it?

6. 1987 Ford F-350 Crew Cab

Seen in: Jurassic Park III (2001)
The 1987
Ford F-350
Crew Cab is an absolutely iconic truck, used in plenty of Hollywood films as the rugged, out-in-the-desert, beat-up work truck of the grisly hero. Unfortunately, this classic Ford truck is only featured in Jurassic Park III, or as some like to call it The One Without Jeff Goldblum.
The 1987 Ford F-350 fits perfectly into Jurassic Park—it’s super paleontologist-y and perfect for driving through canyons and haulin’ around dino fossils.

5. Modified military Hummer

Seen in: The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Now that we’ve gotten through the reboots and the god-awful third film with all its disappointing Goldblum-lessness, we can get to the most classic Jurassic Park vehicles of them all, starting with the iconic, modified, military-issue
Hummer
HMC models of the early ’90s.
These Hummers appear in what is arguably the most underrated Jurassic Park film—1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
While the first film only featured two main vehicles in the park, The Lost World really stepped up the placement—and the budget—for absolutely badass armored cars and off-road vehicles.
IMCDB
is a fantastic resource for engaging in a community of other film-loving car-spotters, and they peg the Hummers in The Lost World as most likely being 1992 models.

4. 1997 Mercedes-Benz ML 320

Seen in: The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Ever since The Lost World: Jurassic Park came out in 1997,
Mercedes-Benz
and Jurassic Park films have gone together like James Bond and Aston Martin. The state-of-the-art (for its time) 1997
Mercedes-Benz ML 320
is one of the first of a significant number of Mercedes-Benz vehicles to appear in the films.
That being said, there were no Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the first and most classic Jurassic Park film, so as much as we absolutely love this SUV, it can only come in at number four on our list.

3. 1969 Pontiac Custom S

Seen in: The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
But wait! Before we get to talking about the two most classic Jurassic Park vehicles, we would be doing you an absolute disservice if we failed to mention the beautiful, cherry-red 1969
Pontiac Custom S
featured in, yet again, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the film which wins the award for most vehicles on this list
Car lovers take note, this film had an absolutely fantastic lineup of cars but none more classic and iconic than the ’69 Custom S, the only sports car to feature in a Jurassic Park film.
Not only do we get to see some stunning shots of the 1969 Pontiac Custom S from above in the film, but we also get to see how thrilling this beauty can be to drive, as it zips and twists through a nail-biting high-speed action scene on the hectic streets of San Diego.
Key Takeaway For the best Jurassic Park film for classic car lovers, look no further than 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

2. 1992 Ford Explorer XLT

Seen in: Jurassic Park (1993)
If you’ve seen any Jurassic Park movie, it was probably the 1993 original. Even if you haven’t seen what is by far the best of both series, you’ll recognize the classic, park-branded 1992
Ford Explorer XLTs
that feature in the film.
In the original Jurassic Park novel, the tour vehicles were Toyota Land Cruisers, but in Universal’s first film that would spawn an entire cinematic universe, Spielberg and his team decided to go with modified Explorer XLTs.
These weren’t just any old Ford Explorers, though—in the film, the vehicles were supposed to be electric and self-driving. Of course, the self-driving part was just a bit of movie magic. In truth, the Explorer was likely being steered by an off-camera control system.
Nonetheless, it’s eye-opening to realize that technologies such as electric and self-driving vehicles were featured in a film made in the early ’90s. It would still be about a two-decade wait before the first
Teslas
would arrive on the market!

1. 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara

Seen in: Jurassic Park (1993)
Coming into the top spot of our top 10 most classic vehicles from the Jurassic Park films is the hallowed 1992
Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara
. This is absolutely as iconic as it gets. The ’92 Wranglers are known for being incredibly fun vehicles to drive, especially if you plan on ripping around in the desert looking for dinosaur bones.
In the first Jurassic Park film, the Jeep Wrangler YJ Saharas are used as staff vehicles. While the Ford Explorers take visitors around a guided track, these peppy two-door SUVs are what pick up the main characters from their helipad. They—and a certain Dennis Nedry—go on to drive them pretty fast later in the film, but we’ll spare you the details along with the spoilers.
You can still buy these older used Jeep models for incredibly affordable prices, and there’s one thing for sure: if you pull up to your first day on the job as a professional paleontologist, all of your new co-workers will have no choice but to be seriously impressed.
Key Takeaway If you want the ultimate Jurassic Park driving experience, get yourself behind the wheel of a well-maintained or rebuilt used Jeep Wrangler. You’ll be the talk of the whole museum staff!
