The Ford Flex falls under the recommended ground clearance for off-roading SUVs by 2.6 inches—therefore the Flex is not considered a good off-road vehicle.
While the Flex may not be the best off-road vehicle, it still has the capacity for daily driving, towing, and light off-road adventures. The Flex comes equipped with a peppy 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 287 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque that can tow up to 4,500 lbs. If you’re going to take your Flex off-road, please exercise extreme caution when driving!
