background
The most common 2018 BMW 7 Series problems are dashboard lights that flicker and dim for no apparent reason. Less serious complaints are about small storage spaces and seats that don’t fold easily.
BMW is known for luxury and comfort, along with a wide array of tech and engine options. The 7 Series offers one of the best full-size sedan lineups on the market today, with an elegance that’s head and shoulders above the rest.
But even BMWs have issues. With that,

The most common 2018 BMW 7 Series problems

Let’s start on a positive note: the 2018 BMW 7 Series doesn’t have a lot of problems. It comes with the reliability you’d expect from a BMW.
Some of the commonly reported problems seem… well, nitpicky. A lack of standard safety features is one, followed by complaints about rear seats not folding as smoothly as expected
All told, only two complaints have been filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. But one is rather glaring, and that is the brake pedal not stopping the car. This was reported only once, but it’s worth keeping in mind.
Also of note, the 2018 BMW 7 Series faced one recall for portable chargers failing, which could lead to a fire. It’s not likely but should be pointed out.
Other common problems with the 2021 BMW 7 Series include:
  • Interior storage spaces
  • Ease of folding/adjusting rear seats
  • Styling of gauges and instruments
As you can see, they are more annoying than anything but should be considered if you are in the market to buy a 2018 BMW 7 Series.

Is the 2018 BMW 7 Series reliable?

As we said, there are not a lot of problems to report, but the BMW doesn’t score as high in the rankings as one would expect. While there are no ratings for the 7 Series broadly, the
BMW 750Li
model ranks a 2/5 from RepairPal, which puts it 26th out of 30 for luxury full-size cars. And with an annual average
car repair
cost of $1,027, it’s not cheap to fix.
The J.D. Power rating is 79 out of 100, which puts it in the upper echelon of luxury full-size cars for quality and reliability.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
