background
The proper Nissan Armada tire pressure is 35 pounds per square inch (psi) in both the front and rear tires.
When you properly inflate your tires, you’re not only protecting yourself and your own vehicle but also the other drivers and pedestrians with whom you share the roads. Incorrectly inflated tires can cause all sorts of problems, including unstable steering, bad gas mileage, and even a catastrophic blowout. Each of these issues is dangerous, but more than that, they can result in costly repairs.

What is the right tire pressure for a Nissan Armada?
The correct tire pressure for your Nissan Armada is 35 pounds per square inch (psi) in the front and rear tires. But if you ever misplace this information, you can find it in your owner’s manual or by checking the placard on the driver’s side door frame.
While, for the most part, 35 psi is going to be the proper tire pressure for your Nissan Armada, you might need to adjust the air pressure if you install certain types of aftermarket or high-performance tires. It’s critical to remember to check the specifications any time you modify your vehicle—and that includes replacement tires!

How to check Nissan Armada tire pressure

Like many other parts of your car, your tires require regular maintenance—that maintenance mainly involves checking the tire pressure. Luckily, checking your tire pressure is a lot easier than some other forms of vehicle maintenance, like tune-ups.
Unlike most modern vehicles, new Nissan Armadas do not display the tire pressures on the dash. Instead, you’ll have to check your tires the old-fashioned way—i.e., with a
tire pressure gauge
. But don’t worry; it’s a simple process, and you can do it just about anywhere.
To begin, locate the valve stems on each of your tires. Next, press your tire pressure gauge into each valve stem to reveal the pressure reading. You can then use that pressure reading to adjust your tire pressure as needed.
If the tire pressure in your Nissan Armada is already too low, your car will probably notify you before you even have a chance to find your gauge. If you notice a warning light that looks similar to an exclamation mark inside half a tire tread, that means at least one of your tires needs some air. When you see this light, don’t ignore it—you could end up stranded on the side of the road with a flat!

How often should you check your Nissan Armada tire pressure?

It is imperative that you check your tire pressure at least once a month. Also, don’t forget to check those tires before any big road trips.

How to tell if your Nissan Armada needs new tires

If you’re like most drivers—which means you drive your Armada an average of 12,000 to 15,000 miles per year—you will probably need new tires about every three years. But even if your tires are fresh off the storeroom floor, it never hurts to check their condition each time you check your tire pressure. Keep an eye out for bumps or cracks, exposed wires, and low tread—all signs that you need new tires.
If you’re unsure how to check your tires’ condition, don’t stress. It can easily be done with an inexpensive tread depth gauge or the penny method
To use the penny method, the only tool you’ll need is—you guessed it—a US penny. Simply stick the coin head-first into the tire’s tread. If any part of the 16th president’s head is showing, you need to prepare yourself to purchase new tires.

How to reset the Nissan Armada tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light

Sometimes, that annoying TPMS warning light won’t turn off even if you properly inflate all of your tires. If you ever encounter this issue, you might need to
reset the TPMS
To reset the TPMS in your Nissan Armada, first ensure that all of the tires—including the spare—are inflated to the proper level. Then, simply drive your car until the light turns off—it might take up to 20 minutes of driving.
If that doesn’t work to reset your TPMS, you’ll need to take your car to the dealership or a tire shop. The professional technicians will reset your TPMS with a special tool if possible. And if not, they’ll be able to repair any problems with the system itself.
