background
Wondering how to replace the power steering fluid in a 2015 Honda Accord? The answer is simple—you don’t! The 2015 Accord has an Electronic Power Steering system, so it doesn’t use power steering fluid at all!
In most cars, your power steering system relies on
power steering fluid
in order to function. In these “hydraulic” systems, the fluid eventually goes bad—usually after about 30,000 miles of driving—and the steering wheel will begin stiffening up. That’s when it’s time to replace the power steering fluid. In your 2015 Honda Accord, however, that won’t ever be an issue!
Starting in 2013, the Accord has been made with an Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system, rather than a hydraulic system. EPS systems require almost no maintenance, do not need steering fluid, and will therefore never require a fluid change.

How do I replace my 2015 Honda Accord’s power steering fluid?

As mentioned above, the 2015 Honda Accord does not have a hydraulic power steering system, so it does not have power steering fluid to begin with. You’ll never need to replace the power steering fluid in a 2015 Honda Accord
In older Accords, you would simply locate the power steering fluid reservoir under the hood (marked by a red cap), drain the fluid, and replace it with some fresh power steering fluid (PSF). But, again, you won’t find such a reservoir in your 2015 model.

Should I change it myself or take it to a mechanic?

Electronic Power Steering systems are designed to need virtually no maintenance throughout the lifespan of the car. Of course, any system can develop a fault or failure.
If you do start to notice any issues with your power steering (stiff wheel, difficulty turning, loud screeching noise when you turn, etc) you’ll need to
take your Honda to a mechanic
or an automotive electrician to have the EPS system examined.

How to save money on Honda insurance

Having an EPS system in your
Honda
should save you a good bit of money in the long run since you’ll never have to purchase replacement power steering fluid or pay a mechanic to flush/fill your fluid.
