How do I replace my 2017 Honda Civic’s power steering fluid?

As mentioned above, your 2017 Honda Civic does not have power steering fluid, so you’ll never need to worry about conducting a replacement. Starting in 2012, Honda began manufacturing the Civic with an electric power steering system (EPS).
In contrast to traditional hydraulic power steering systems—which rely on fluid to facilitate their basic functions—electric steering systems use an electric motor to perform the same function.
The nice thing about the electric power steering systems (besides the fact that you'll never need to purchase steering fluid again) is that they require shockingly little maintenance. While you may experience mechanical failure with one or more of the EPS components, it doesn’t happen very often.

Should I change it myself or take it to a mechanic?

If you encounter some issues with your power steering, you’ll definitely need to
take your car to a repair shop or mobile mechanic
Since your power steering is a complex electrical system, there’s very little you can do to address the issue yourself unless you have an automotive engineering background.

How to save money on Honda insurance

Now that you'll never have to pay for steering fluid again, you'll have one less maintenance expense to worry about. In the end, though, the cost of steering fluid upkeep is a pretty small percentage of most people's car-related expenses.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
