background
If you drive a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, your car has a bolt pattern of 5x5, or “five on five.” What this means is that each wheel has five lug holes arranged in a circle with a five-inch diameter.
For 2014, Jeep overhauled the Grand Cherokee with a mighty new 3.6-liter V6 engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, and an impressive number of suspension and chassis options. The 2014 Grand Cherokee is something of a jack of all trades: it’s just as at-home in the grocery store parking lot as it is
scaling up a rocky off-road hillside
One straightforward way to tailor the 2014 Grand Cherokee to your own liking is getting it a new set of wheels—but before you Google “coolest looking wheels for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee,” you’ll want to get familiar with its bolt pattern first. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s bolt pattern, including an easy guide on how to measure it yourself.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee bolt pattern

First things first, the
bolt pattern for a Jeep Grand Cherokee
with a model year between 1999 and 2020 is 5x5, or 5 on 5. All bolt patterns are expressed like so:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
For the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, this means that every wheel has five lug holes, and those lug holes are arranged in a circle with a five-inch diameter.
You may hear the term “lug pattern” in place of “bolt pattern,” but don’t let that confuse you—the two terms can be used interchangeably.
Knowing your bolt pattern comes in handy, but it’s not the only figure you’ll need to have on hand when shopping for new wheels. In order to ensure a perfect fit, you’ll also need to know your Grand Cherokee’s wheel size, stud size, offset, and center bore and torque specifications:
  • Factory wheel size: 17” to 20”
  • Stud size: 14 mm x 1.5 mm (14 mm stud thread and 1.5 mm thread spacing)
  • Offset: 25 to 45 mm
  • Center bore: 71.5 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 176 Nm

How to measure your Jeep Grand Cherokee’s bolt pattern

Knowing your Jeep Grand Cherokee’s lug pattern off the top of your head sure comes in handy, but what’s arguably more useful is knowing how to measure it for yourself. After all, from
oil type
to
power steering fluid
and everything else in between, it can be difficult to remember all of your vehicle’s important info.
To measure a bolt pattern, you’ll need either a tape measure or a 12-inch ruler—whichever one you have available will work.
Then, choose any of the five bolts on your 2014 Grand Cherokee’s wheels and measure from the outer edge of the lug hole to the center of the opposite bolt
The Grand Cherokee has an odd number of bolts, so your ruler/measure tape will end up between bolts if you measure straight across. Simply choose either of the nearby bolts, measure to the center, and record the measurement.
Now that you’ve measured the diameter of the circle, put it together with the number of bolts and you’ve got your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee bolt pattern!
