background
A 2014 Ford Fusion has a bolt pattern of 5x4.25 or five on 4.25—each wheel will need five bolts forming a circle 4.25 inches in diameter.
The Ford Fusion is a fuel-efficient midsize sedan with plenty of power, attractive styling, and a suite of tech features for 2014. If you’re looking to add a little more wheel personality to your Fusion or if it’s time to put on your snow tires, knowing the bolt pattern is essential!
Let’s go over the 2014 Ford Fusion’s bolt pattern, the other measurements you’ll need to change your wheels, and a DIY tip for measuring the bolt pattern yourself.

2014 Ford Fusion bolt pattern

The bolt (aka lug) pattern for any Ford
is going to be a little different depending on the make and model year. For the 2014 Ford Fusion, the bolt pattern is 5x4.25, or five on 4.25. Here’s what that formula actually means:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
A 5x4.25 lug pattern tells you that a Fusion’s wheels each have five lugs set in a circle 4.25 inches in diameter. Before you remove the bolts, there are a few more measurements you’ll need to know to apply the correct size of tire and bolt:
  • Factory wheel size: 16” to 17” (depending on trim)
  • Stud size: M12 x 1.5 (12 mm stud thread with 1.5 mm thread spacing)
  • Offset: 35 to 55 mm
  • Center bore: 63.4 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 135 Nm

How to measure your Ford Fusion’s bolt pattern

The above measurements should be enough to get you on your way to changing out your tires! But if you want to double-check your bolt pattern, you can refer to your Fusion’s owner’s manual or DIY it.
To figure out the bolt pattern on any vehicle at home, you’ll need a measuring tape or a ruler. Pick one of the bolts on a wheel and measure from the outside edge of the hole to the center of a bolt across from it. Because there are an uneven number of bolts in the wheel, you can just choose between the two bolts on the other side of the circle.
This measurement will be the second number of the bolt pattern, while the first number will be the number of bolts in the circle. There you have it!
