With all trim levels, drivetrain options, and package upgrades available, 12 possible 2022 Hyundai Palisade configurations range between $33,150 and $48,390 MSRP.
The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is a thing of three-row SUV luxury, comfort, convenience, and safety. Even the base trim is dripping in standard features, and the higher up in the trim lineup you go, the more high-tech and luxe these features get. So while some folks will be supremely contented in the least expensive base model, others won’t settle for less than, well, everything.
Before you decide which side of that spectrum you favor, let’s go over a handful of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade configurations to get an idea of what each level will provide. You won’t be disappointed at any stop along the way.

To start crafting your perfect 2022 Hyundai Palisade, you’ll first need to decide on the trim level and the drivetrain.
In all four of the 2022 Palisade trims—SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy—you’ll find front-wheel drive (FWD) and a 3.8-liter V6 engine kicking out 291 horsepower as the standard. However, all models have access to the upgraded drivetrain, HTRAC AWD (Hyundai TRACtion all-wheel drive), for an additional $1,700.
Hyundai also released two upgrade packages, but these are only available for the SEL trim:
Convenience Package +$2,400
All in all, the 2022 Hyundai Palisade can be customized and configured in 12 different ways. We’ll explore seven of them below.
Hyundai Palisade SE with FWD
If you were expecting the base trim of the 2022 Palisade to come with the bare bones and nothing more, be prepared for a sizeable surprise. The Palisade SE
trim is packed full of standard safety, comfort, and convenience features and if we named them all, the list would take up half this article. We’ll just start with these: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection
Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
Hill-Start Assist Control
Heated outside power mirrors and door handles
One-touch second-row seat access
60/40 split-flat folding rear seats with reclining capabilities and center armrest
8-inch infotainment display with HD Radio
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility
Smart cruise control with stop-and-go
Hyundai Palisade SE with HTRAC AWD
The HTRAC AWD system is available on every 2022 Palisade model and can change your driving game. This intuitive drivetrain reacts in real-time to changing road conditions and manages torque delivery to ensure the best grip and stability for that surface.
You’ll also see a slight dip in the EPA-estimated fuel economy. Where a Palisade with FWD gets 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined, the HTRAC AWD gets 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.
Hyundai Palisade SEL with FWD
Jump up a level in the trim lineup to get your hands on the extra comfort features of the Palisade SEL
: 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support
Dual-zone automatic climate control
Second-row automatic HVAC control
Leather-wrapped steering wheel
Auto-dimming interior rearview mirror with HomeLink
Captain’s chairs to replace second-row bench

Hyundai Palisade SEL with Convenience Package
The SEL trim is the only trim made available with upgrade packages, so you may want to take advantage of them if you opt for this second trim level. First up is the Convenience Package and, as the name may suggest, it adds more convenience features that make your driving experience easier.
For an additional $2,400, you’ll get LED taillights, 20-inch wheels, a wireless phone charger, USB outlets all the way in the third row, a hands-free smart liftgate, a front parking sensor, a 7-inch gauge cluster display, auto-leveling rear suspension, and an ultrasonic rear occupant alert.
Hyundai Palisade SEL with Premium Package
The other available SEL package is the Premium Package, set on upping the luxury content of your vehicle. Here, you’ll gain access to leather seating, driver’s seat memory, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, 8-way power adjustable passenger seat, navigation with a 10.25-inch screen, highway drive assist, and a power-folding/reclining third row.
Hyundai Palisade Limited with FWD
The next trim level, the Palisade Limited
, offers much of what the SEL upgrade packages offer, like the wireless phone charger, 20-inch wheels, leather seats, heated second row, hands-free smart liftgate, and navigation, but also includes: Rear wide dual sunroof with shade
Rain-sensing windshield wipers
Ventilated captain’s chairs
Driver’s seat power thigh support and 4-way lumbar support
Full-color head-up display
Premium Harman Kardon audio system with 12 speakers, Quantum Logic Surround Sound, and Clari-Fi
Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy with FWD
Once you reach the top of the Palisade line, you’ll enjoy some exclusive branding and cosmetic features. The Palisade Calligraphy
trim gives you: Calligraphy trim-exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels
Calligraphy trim-exclusive grille
Calligraphy trim-exclusive front and rear fascias
Calligraphy trim-exclusive exterior door finishes
Premium tail lamp accent lighting
Quilted leather door panels
Microfiber suede headliner
Perforated leather steering wheel
Since this trim is the most expensive and doesn’t add much in the way of the actual functionality of your vehicle, you could skip it unless you’re dying to experience the quilted door panels and exclusive branding.
