On Sept. 15, 2022, Ford opened pre-orders for the 2023 Ford Maverick after an incredibly successful first year. Sales for the 2023 Maverick closed less than a week later, with Sept. 20, 2022 being the deadline to order a 2023 2.5-liter Hybrid Maverick, and Sept. 21, 2022, being the deadline to order a 2023 2-liter EcoBoost Gas Maverick. All sales closed at 10 pm (EDT) on their respective cutoff day.
Even the turnaround for retailers was quick, as according to

But, there might be more Ford Mavericks available
If you didn’t catch the pre-order sales for the week they were available in September, it will be harder to get a 2023 Ford Maverick, but not impossible.
Kelley Blue Book
reports that although customer orders of the 2023 Maverick have sold out, dealers might be able to continue ordering and selling them to customers. Historically, Ford dealers have been able to continue placing orders for vehicles they can keep in stock and sell to walk-in buyers. The demand for the 2023 Ford Maverick makes a good case that dealers would be able to sell these trucks in stores.
But, there is one caveat, as written in the leaked Ford bulletin. According to the bulletin, 2023 Ford Mavericks could continue to be produced for dealers to sell, “if selected for scheduling within existing commodity restraints.” That means, the amount of additional Mavericks able to be produced will depend on supply chain constraints and other restrictions.
