, both mainstream and luxury cars were rated on satisfaction in five categories, Styling, Driving Experience, Comfort, Value, and In-Car Electronics Ease of Use, and a Hyundai sedan made the cut in almost every one. In the compact car category, the 2022 Hyundai Elantra snagged the top spot from consumers who reported that they would buy the car again. The redesigned Elantra, upgraded with a roomier interior and advanced infotainment system, ranked highly in Value, Styling, and Driving experience.
The standard engine for this model is a 147-hp four-cylinder, but a hybrid version is also available, offering a comparatively smoother ride and a quieter cabin.
In the luxury compact category, Hyundai scored big again with the 2022 Genesis G70, topping three categories: In-Car Electriconics Ease of Use, Styling, and Value. The car scored lowest in comfort, but drivers looking for a stylish compact car with a snug cabin will be more than satisfied with the G70.
In spite of its size, the cabin of a G70 is comfortable and posh, living up to the standard of the luxury sport sedan category. It even offers a 10-year warranty package, more than double the standard for luxury cars.
Lastly, in the luxury midsized/large cars category, we see another Hyundai model ranking highly with the 2022 Genesis G80 ranking third overall, coming in just behind the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5 Series. While it didn’t make the top spot, the G80 was the only car of the three that earned perfect scores in Driving Experience and Styling.
The standard model G80 comes with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 300 horsepower and 8-speed automatic transmission.
