Why won't my Chevy Equinox delete Bluetooth devices?

I have a used Chevy Equinox and I’m trying to pair my phone to Bluetooth. However, the car’s list of Bluetooth devices is completely full and I need to delete them. The problem is that the Equinox won’t delete the devices. Why can’t I delete the paired devices from my Chevy Equinox?

If the Chevy Equinox won’t delete Bluetooth devices, you may have a pairing glitch or a software issue. In most cases, the Equinox isn’t updating the software automatically. As a result, pairing or deleting problems may result.
To fix this issue, the best plan of action is to download the software for Bluetooth on the Chevy MyLink infotainment system from Chevy’s website. Just put it on a USB port, connect it to the Equinox, and then try deleting those devices again. This should solve the problem.
If that doesn’t work, contact your local
Chevrolet
dealership to see if they have any advice on how to fix the issue.
