Why won't my car battery charge past 75%?

I've been having trouble with my car battery dying lately. It never seems to hold a charge when I jump it. So I pulled it out and took it to the store to charge it there, but it won't charge past 75%! What's going on?

It sounds like your battery has reached the end of its life, usually after a few years of use or if the battery is defective.
Either way, you’ll need a
new car battery
, which should cost between $40 and $250 depending on your car type. Since you’ve already removed the old battery, installing a new one will be much easier!
Keep in mind: Make sure you purchase the correct size and voltage for your vehicle. Installing the wrong battery can cause malfunctions and damage to your electrical system.
