Why is the abs and traction control light on in my Ford Fusion?
The ABS and Traction Control light came on in my Ford Fusion yesterday. I’m not sure if I should be worried, because I don’t know the cause of the problem. Why is the ABS and Traction Control light on in my Ford Fusion?

- An ABS malfunction: A malfunction with your car’s ABS system could affect the way your wheels spin, which also increases the risk of losing traction, especially in inclement weather. If this system malfunctions, you’ll notice the ABS/Traction Control light appear.
- A faulty traction control module: Your Fusion’s traction control module keeps your wheels in check during bad weather like snow, ice, or rain and helps you stay in control of the vehicle. A problem with this system could cause your ABS/Traction Control light to turn on.
- A broken wheel speed sensors: Wheel speed sensors communicate with your car’s ABS to measure your wheels' speed. A broken sensor could disrupt that flow of data, causing your ABS/Traction Control light to activate.
