Where is the cruise control function on a 2012 Chevy Cruze?
I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze, and I know it has cruise control, but I can’t figure out how to work it. Where is the function located, and how do I activate it?

The 2012 Chevy Cruze cruise control can be found on the left side of the steering wheel, where you’ll see steering wheel-mounted controls; these buttons look like an odometer. To activate cruise control, press the Cruise Control button to turn the system on or off and cancel a set speed.
When the system is activated, you will see an icon on the instrument cluster notifying you that cruise control is ON.
Here’s how to operate it:
- Press the middle RES/+ button to set your speed. The white icon on the cluster will turn green, indicating Cruise Control is set and active.
- You can remove your foot from the accelerator and ride.
- Pressing the far left icon with an X or the brake will disengage cruise control, but your previous speed will still be set.
- To resume your previous speed, press RES/+ UP.
- Press the bottom of the button to the right to deactivate cruise control and turn the system OFF.
