My battery’s getting older, so I wanted to take a look at the details on the cover so I know what to replace it with when it’s time. The problem is I haven’t been able to find it! Where is the 2016 Audi Q5 battery location?

You’ll find the 2016 Audi Q5 battery location behind the rear seat in the trunk area—but you’ll have to remove a few layers to get to it.
To access it, you’ll need to:
- Lift and remove the floor panel
- Unscrew the round speaker, release the cord clip, then remove it
- Unscrew and remove the spare tire
Once the spare tire is removed, your 2015 Audi Q5’s battery should be visible.
Removing the battery itself, however, will require removing additional parts and bolts, so you’ll want to consult your owner’s manual for the proper procedure and what precautions to take.
