Where are Hyundai parts made?
Maybe I watched that one show on TV too many times, but I’m always interested to see how things are made. I’ve had a Hyundai vehicle for a year now, and mine was built in Alabama, but I’m not sure where the parts come from. Where does Hyundai get its parts?

Generally speaking, Hyundai gets a vast majority of its parts from outsourcing to China and other companies in South Korea. It’s estimated that up to 60% of all Hyundai parts are made in China, as the cost to produce parts in other countries has skyrocketed over the past decade or two.
That said, Hyundai also produces some components of its vehicles directly at Hyundai Motors Manufacturing Alabama. This Montgomery-based factory builds engines and other components for new Hyundai vehicles.
