What’s the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu’s oil type?

I bought a used car a few weeks ago, and now I’d like to change the oil. I have some quarts of oil out in my garage that I used in my other car, but I’m not sure it will work in a Malibu. What type of oil does the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu’s use?

The 2015
Chevrolet Malibu’s
 oil type is SAE 5W-30 for the 2.0L engine, and SAE 5W-20 or SAE 0W-20 for the 2.5L engine. Look for the API Certification Seal as well. Your Malibu will take 5 quarts (4.7 liters).
Don’t substitute another weight/type of oil just because you have some bottles on hand—buy new oil if necessary. And when shopping for oil, be sure to type in the correct information about your Malibu, including its engine size.
