What is the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned warranty?
I’ve been wanting a new Mercedes C300 for a while but my partner thinks buying a Certified Pre-Owned model gives us the best deal. I’m a little concerned that the warranty won’t be as good. What does it cover?

Thankfully, the
Mercedes-Benz
Certified Pre-Owned warranty is pretty comprehensive. Every Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes model is covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for four years or 50,000 miles. When that expires, you’ll be covered by the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty for another 12 months. After that period, you can purchase an extended warranty for either one or two years—with no mileage limit. All the warranties cover these parts, at a minimum:
- Engine and powertrain
- Steering
- Suspension
- Electrical system
- Climate control system
No matter how thorough a
car’s warranty
is, it still won’t cover repairs needed from accidents, weather damage, or vandalism. For that kind of protection, you’ll need a good car insurance
