What is the anti-perforation limited warranty for Kia vehicles?

I live in a super snowy area, so my husband is trying to convince me to get a Kia since it has an anti-perforation warranty. Honestly, I’m not even sure what that means. What is Kia’s anti-perforation limited warranty?

The anti-perforation limited warranty for Kia vehicles comes with newly purchased Kia cars and is good for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty protects you against corrosion, perforation, or rust on your car’s body sheet metal from the inside out. It does not protect you against corrosion, perforation, or rust from the outside in.
If you’re worried about corrosion due to something like living in a snowy area and getting salt on the bottom of your car—which will turn into rust if you don’t wash it regularly—a warranty actually won’t help you. Warranties only protect you from manufacturer defects in your car, not damage that happens because of how you drive or maintain your car.
