What is the 2017 Audi Q7 oil type?
My husband has a 2017 Audi Q7, but he’s not exactly great about changing the oil. I thought I’d do the oil change on my own, just to make sure it gets done. What type of oil do I need for an Audi Q7?

, fill the engine with the SAE 5W-40 oil type. While full synthetic motor oil is always your best bet, you can also find a full synthetic that’s specifically formulated for European cars. Most major brands produce this oil, including:- STP
- Mobil 1
- Castrol Edge
- Valvoline
However, the amount of oil needed depends on what’s under the hood. If you have the 2.0-liter engine, you’ll need 6 quarts of motor oil. If you have the 3.0-liter V-6, you’ll need 7.2 quarts.
