I recently purchased a used 2008 Honda Civic SI, and although it works great, I’m a little nervous about testing its full potential. How fast will the Honda Civic SI go from 0 to 60 MPH?

With that being said, the Honda Civic Si can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 7.3 seconds. Keep in mind that although the time may be a bit slower than most fast cars, usually it’s due to different reasons, such as the following:
- Aerodynamic levels: While it may be easy to think that your car’s speed is dependent on just the engine’s power, your car’s build can impact your car’s momentum just as much. Slimmer cars tend to be quicker than bigger-build cars, as leaner cars don’t have to work as hard in pushing through the air.
- Weight: It’s essential to always keep in mind your car’s gross weight, as the heavier your car’s weight, the harder it has to work, which ultimately might impact speed levels. Also, remember, having a light car doesn’t mean your vehicle will run faster, and lighter cars usually have to struggle to find a balance of engine power and weight.
