Good question! Normal engine oil pressure is between 25 and 65 PSI.
While the ideal oil pressure can change depending on the make and model of your car, the general rule is that oil pressure should be above 25 and below 65 PSI (pounds per square inch). Without the proper oil pressure, the oil won’t be able to reach all components of the engine, which can lead to overheating and damage.
If you’re outside the recommended range, you should head to a mechanic. You either need an oil change, or a more serious issue could be causing the incorrect oil pressure.
