What could be causing my 2013 Kia Soul ticking noise?

I recently noticed a slight ticking from my Kia. I thought it was a rock stuck, but it’s too rhythmic. What could be causing my 2013 Kia Soul ticking noise?

A 2013 Kia Soul ticking noise may be caused by low oil or possibly caused by one of the recall issues from the manufacturer.
Ticking is a common symptom of very low oil levels in a car. If you hear ticking while driving, you should add more oil as soon as possible. Even better, schedule a complete oil change.
For the 2013 Kia Soul specifically, there is a recall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for engine and catalytic converter issues. You can call Kia customer service for more information at 1-800-333-4542. The number for this recall is SC176.
