What are some common problems with the Infiniti QX60?

When I was shopping for a used car, I learned that used luxury cars are surprisingly affordable. The Infiniti QX60 caught my eye as being a top-rated model, but I know nothing about how reliable used models are. Are there any common problems with the Infiniti QX60?

Although the
Infiniti QX60
gets only a 3.5-star reliability rating from RepairPal, it still ranks second in its class in terms of reliability. However, most of these issues are due to mileage and wear and tear, so low-mileage options may be the best choice.
Some common problems with the Infiniti QX60 include:
  • Sudden, random deactivation of the driver assist system, which can cause safety issues
  • Malfunction of the electronic control unit (ECU), which may cause random throttling or acceleration
  • Cracking of the sunroof, even without contact or a collision
  • Failure of the foot-activated liftgate, where it stops working altogether
The bottom line: Whether you’re driving an Infiniti QX60 or another vehicle, staying aware of commonly reported problems with your make and model can help you catch and repair them before they become more serious—and expensive.
