I’m doing some research to find my next SUV. The Toyota Highlander gets rave reviews, but I can’t figure out just how big it is. Is the Toyota Highlander a full-size SUV or does it fall under the midsize category?

A Toyota Highlander is a midsize SUV, but it’s surprisingly spacious and has many of the top features that you’d find in a full-size SUV.
One of the Highlander’s standout features is its third-row seating with room for seven passengers or 84.3 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. This makes the Highlander almost as large as some of the smaller full-size SUVs out there, but without being too cumbersome.
Other highlights of the Highlander include:

- Up to 29 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg in the city
- Available all-wheel drive
- Off-road capable
- New 2.4-liter turbo-four engine with 265 hp and 310 pound-feet of torque
