Is the battery covered under the Audi warranty?
I’ve been having trouble with the battery on my 2020 Audi A4 recently—are batteries covered under the factory warranty, or will service come out of my pocket?

Knowing what’s covered and not covered under a manufacturer’s warranty can be confusing. All original batteries are covered under the
Audi
Limited Warranty for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. If you’re noticing trouble with your battery, call your local Audi dealership to schedule a maintenance appointment and get it checked out. Whether defective or damaged, Audi will cover the battery as long as it’s within the coverage period.
On top of what’s covered under your limited warranty, you can also choose to purchase an extended warranty plan after the factory warranty expires. You have three options:
- Powertrain: Covers the engine, transmission, drive axle, and hybrid/electric battery
- Gold: Includes everything in the Powertrain plan plus climate control, shocks, front suspension, rear suspension, fuel system, and electrical system
- Platinum: Covers everything in the Gold plan along with steering, brakes, constant-velocity (CV) boots, navigation systems, audio systems, and high-tech components
