Is it legal to wear sunglasses while driving?

I just had some procedures done to my eyes so they’re very sensitive to light. If I need to drive during the day, I would need sunglasses. Is it legal to wear sunglasses while driving?

Wearing sunglasses while driving is legal. In fact, it is encouraged when the sun is very bright and shining right in your eyes! Not only will it help you see better, but you’ll also reduce your eyestrain.
When picking your sunglasses, there are a few things you should consider.
UV protection UV rays can damage your eyes and lead to cataracts or even skin cancer. When choosing your sunglasses, check to see if the lenses are rated UV400. This will block out 99–100% of UVA and UVB rays. For extra protection, you can also get wraparound lenses and frames.
Polarized lenses Polarized lenses improve color contrast and neutralize glare from the sun. This is especially useful when surfaces like water, snow, and buildings are reflecting harsh sunlight.
Lens color Lenses can come in many different colors. The most practical colors for driving are brown or gray-tinted lenses as they can cut the light intensity without distorting colors.
Lens tint level While it may be tempting to get the darkest tint, it is not advised as there would be too much color distortion, which could end up reducing your visibility.
Finally, pick a frame that fits comfortably on your face and has a large enough lens to block bright lights from shining directly into your eyes. Larger frames can also protect your eyes from the wind if your windows are rolled down.
Just as you’re protecting your eyes, you should also protect your car. The
