How much would my insurance increase if I buy an Acura RSX?

"I'm 21 and am looking to buy a 2006 Acura RSX. I'm buying the car for $5,000 and I don't have a huge budget for increased insurance. Right now I pay $130, would it be more than that?"

“Any time you make changes to your car insurance, your rate can change. Car insurance rates are dependent on many different things and type of vehicle is one of them.
Since you know the type of vehicle you want, you should reach out to your car insurance company directly. They’ll be able to give you a quote on how much your insurance would change if you added the new vehicle.
If your insurance rate does change once you add your new vehicle, you do have the option of looking at other carriers. Rates with insurance carriers change continuously so you may be able to find a more affordable car insurance policy with someone else.
Should you not be able to find an affordable rate with another carrier, you may need to consider getting a different vehicle or adjusting your budget.”
