How much should it cost me to ship a car from Michigan to Florida? My dad had major back surgery, and I’m trying to move back home to take care of him.

  • Opt for a slower shipping speed: The faster the delivery, the faster the shipping company needs to move. Sometimes, you can actually find a lower price by selecting a later delivery time.
  • Meet them in the middle: If you have the time, it may be cheaper to have the shipping company bring it halfway and drive it home from there!
  • Pick a slow time of year: Shipping costs tend to spike around the holidays, so having your car shipped at slower times of the year can help you secure a lower rate.
  • Shop around: As is the case with most services, the first one you find will rarely be your cheapest. Gather estimates from a few different companies before you pick one.
