—the BMW M8
was officially introduced in 2019. However, the production and sales numbers of the M8 are lumped in with the numbers of the BMW 8-Series, so there’s no exact figure for how many M8s have been produced throughout the last four years.Here’s how many BMW M8 models were made for the most noteworthy versions:
- First-edition BMW M8 Gran Coupe: 400 units
- Pre-produced First-edition BMW M8 Gran Coupe: Eight units
- BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane: 10 units
BMW M8 models are equipped with the same twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the
BMW M5
, reaching up to 617 hp in some models. The M8 has a top speed of 190 mph, and any model can be fitted with M Performance Parts, like a sport steering wheel, carbon fiber parts, and side skirts. These powerful and chic Bimmers are still the new kid on the block, so even used M8s start at around $80,000—but a new one could run you up to $170,000.
